Per , Barcelona have reached an agreement with the Spanish midfield duo and they are expected to put pen to paper on new long-term deals after the team's Champions League clash against Atalanta this week. Securing the futures of Pedri and Gavi was a priority for sporting director Deco, who worked tirelessly in the last few months to tie down the two players.

The report claims that the Catalan giants have been planning to offer Gavi a new deal for a long time. They waited for the midfielder to recover from his severe knee injury, which kept him out of action for nearly a year, before formally tabling a new contract proposal. Both Pedri and Gavi's latest deals will run until June 2030 and the latter's contract will have a release clause of €1 billion (£866m/$1bn).
